Robert "Bob" Lee

September 15, 1930 ~ January 28, 2019 (age 88)

Robert "Bob" Lee, 88, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 15, 1930 in Daviess County to the late Sylvan D. and Cora V. Fulkerson Lee. Bob was retired as Operations Manager at Green River Steel after 42 years and was a member of Christ Community Church. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and served aboard the Van Valkenburgh Destroyer Escort ship. Bob was a Kentucky Colonel and a Gentleman Farmer. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Frances "Parthy" Shelton and a brother, Bill Lee.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Brenda Lee, two sons, Stephen Lee and wife Sherry of Owensboro and Michael W. Lee and wife Amy of Maceo, two daughters, Teresa Lynn Cury and husband Shawn of Tallahassee, Florida and Lisha G. Reynolds and husband Jed of Owensboro, nine grandchildren, Samuel Lee (Kelsey), Jacob Lee (Julianna), Katharine Abshier (Corey), Christi Lee (Josh), Misti Moore (Justin), Mindi Cecil, Robert Edward Lee, Janie Lee, and Christopher Luke Reynolds (Brittiany), 14 great grandchildren, Cora Belle and Keller Charles Lee, Jordan and Taylor Lee, Brittany, Tabitha, and Lacey Moore, Jayden, Jasmine, and Seth Cecil, Jersey Lee, Daniel Lincoln Abshier, and Aliyah and Millie Reynolds, a brother, Gary Lee of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service for Bob Lee will be Noon Thursday, January 31, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday and after 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
