Angela Faye Welch, 49, was born in Owensboro Kentucky, on October 22, 1974. The Lord called our angel home on the morning of January 23, 2024. Angela was quite literally an Earth Angel, which we lovingly often called her. She was blessed to have never known what hate was or how cruel this world could be. She never had to "grow up" and worry about the things that most of us do in life. All she knew and lived for was compassion, love, and to be loved. She was born innocent and left this world just as innocent. There were so many things that Angela adored, including her most treasured see-n-say, unicorn stuffies and her blanket. In addition to her toys, she also loved a huge plate of spaghetti and meatballs which was washed down with a cold glass of chocolate milk! When God decided to call our Earth Angel home, he needed his angel back. Any suffering is over, and her body is now whole again. We'd like to imagine that she is dancing in the clouds at the sight of her daddy's open arms, waiting to hold her, as his first born crossed those gates and joined him in Heaven.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, David Patrick Welch Sr. and her grandmother, Betty Jean Cartwright; both of Owensboro, KY.
Survivors include her mother, Sherrie Jolene Welch; sister, Stacy (Jerry) Ward; two brothers, David Patrick Welch Jr. and Chad (Crystal) Welch, all of Owensboro; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, January 29, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. All are welcome to join us in saying "see you later" to our angel.
