With overwhelming sadness, we share the passing of Anna “Tootsie” Tucker, who died December 2, 2023, at the age of 88. Tootsie, name given to her by her brother Tyler, was born February 18. 1935, to Amy Rice Cook and Gena (Eugene) Cook in Philpot, KY. She was the youngest of seven.
Tootsie married her grade school sweetheart, William “Bill” Tucker, January 3, 1953.
They built a home and moved to Masonville in 1965. Soon they joined Masonville Baptist Church. Their church family and neighbors became dear lifelong friends. Together they raised three children until William’s passing May 25, 2000.
Tootsie was also preceded in death by her brothers; Tillman, Lyman and Tyler Cook. Sisters; Emogene Wright, Kathleen Lancaster, and Geraldine Basham.
Tootsie is survived by her daughter Linda (Joe) Feldpausch; sons, Alan (Charlene)Tucker and Kelly (Aileen) Tucker. Six grandchildren; Jeremy, Jill, Jared, Lauren, Sammy and Kyle. Nine great-grandchildren; Sadie, Luke, Keegan, Ivy, Daniel, Cat, Brayden, Layton and Isaac. Two great-great grandchildren; Weston and Lennox.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
