Bonnie Ann Blue Herman

Bonnie Ann Blue Herman, 84, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born October 10, 1939 in Owensboro to the late Lambert M. Blue and Dorothy Jane Mathews Blue. Bonnie worked as a histologist technician for Regional Medical Hospital in Madisonville and Mercy Hospital. She was a very active member at Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church. Bonnie volunteered at the Mary Kendall Home and was a CASA advocate. She was known as Mimi to the joys of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bonnie loved her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Herman; a daughter, Jenny Lynn Campbell.

Survivors include two daughters, Dora Hudson (Ricky) and Cheri Searcy (Scott); son, Joe Dunlap (Janice); 15 grandchildren, Laci Crabtree, Jadd Campbell, Trason Campbell, Cadman Campbell, Kyler Campbell, Jaysie Beth Royal, Haley Hudson, Whitney Cecil, Mallory Aud, Sarah Adams, Rebekah Dalton, Jessyle Spalding, Wesley Searcy, Preston Searcy, and Shayla Hancock; 41 great-grandchildren, Elli, Carter, Campbell, Jaxon, Gracie, Sawyer, Carriann, Chaney Kate, Christian, Colson, Clarke, Cadleigh, Collyns, Benham, Lynnlee, London, Addy, Ansley, Wyatt, Whitman, Ava Rose, Noah, Marci, Lucy, Alice, Mollie, Lilly, Annie, Austin, Kendall, Cheyenne, Isaac, Harrison, Emlsey, River, Ivy, Sully, Allie, Desmond, and Genevieve Estelle Spalding and Baby Searcy (both arriving in March); son-in-law, Terry Lee Campbell; sisters, Judy Russ and Mickie Stone (Bill); brother, Jerry "Chipper" Blue (Donna); several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Krista Howe (Tony) and family.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
