She was preceded in death by her father, her youngest brother Adrian Lewis, her grandmother Mrs. Isophene Coleman and a host of other beloved family members and her past partner Steve Fant all whom she loved and missed dearly.
She found faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved her neighborhood and would gather with others listening to stories and catching up on community updates. She was employed with Ponderosa Steakhouse, Arby’s, Leisure Year Nursing Home, and Audubon Area Head Start Grandmother’s program for many years. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She was an avid pet lover and was truly loved by her beloved paw pet, Bo. It was her faith in GOD, her caring heart, contagious laughter, and smile that will forever be missed.
She leaves to cherish her life, (3) children, Jai S. Howard of Nashville, TN, Katrina V. Howard (Felecia) of Cincinnati, OH, and Richard C. Howard (Katie) of Owensboro, Ky., her mother, Gloria W. Lewis and stepmother, Brenda S. Johnson, a grandson, Dawone C. Howard, (2) brothers, Anthony R. Howard and Wayne Howard, (6) sisters, Teresa Hall, Michelle Tyler of Owensboro, KY, Talita J. Scarboro (Charles) of Hendersonville, TN, Monzita J. Williams of Wesley Chapel, FL, Katrina J. Morrow (Marion), Kelly V. Johnson, of Owensboro, KY, an aunt, Betty Griffin and a host of nieces, nephews, close cousins (Owensboro, Hopkinsville & Louisville, KY), other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday March 16, 2024, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 507 Plum St, Owensboro with Rev. Dr. Jeremiah L. Parks, pastor, officiating. Rev. Larry D Lewis of Zion Missionary Baptist Church will deliver the eulogy. Committal and Burial will follow the service at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery Garden of Christus. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday March 15 at McFarland Funeral Home, 1001 W 5th St, Owensboro, KY and from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday at the church.
