Gay Gipe

Clearwater, Florida

Gay Reagan Gipe, a native of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home in Clearwater, FL. Gay had a beautiful heart and always put the needs of others before herself; showering her family with love, kindness and gratitude.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Wyatt (Cliff) of Mobile, AL; her three grandsons, Stan Gipe (Caroline), Ford Wyatt, and Bobby Wyatt (Jean); one great-grandchild, Cole Gipe; her brother, Bobby Reagan (Susan); her sister, Marylee Schanen (Keith); and many wonderful friends.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Gayann Gipe; once husband, Bobby Gipe; parents, Ivo and Thelma Regan; brothers, Maurice Reagan and Abby Reagan; and her sister, Linda Jean Hines.

Before her health declined, she enjoyed traveling, playing golf, tennis and competitive bridge; and watching her grandsons and great-grandson in all their various sports and endeavors. She was a voracious reader and an excellent cook.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Private burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

The family wishes to especially thank with heartfelt gratitude, Dr. Lawrence Dewberry and his staff, as well as the staff at Fresenius; and caregiver, Ivette Colon, for their exceptional and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
