OWENSBORO, KY., — Larissa Moorman Lewis, 96 of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. She was born December 20, 1921 in Utica, KY. The Daviess County native was a member of the Sweeney Street Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker who loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Rates Lewis, Sr., son Charles R. Lewis, Jr., 2 daughters Deana L. Leak and Joyce M. Fulton and 2 grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories 4 sons Rev. Larry (Vivian) Lewis, Owensboro, Knox Dennie (Joanie) Lewis, Louisville, James Lewis, Frankfort, Germany and John (Yager) Lewis, Owensboro, 9 daughters, Pamilla Bracy, Owensboro, Anita (Michael) Jackson, Owensboro, Wanda ( Steve) Tinsley, Evansville, Mona ( Curtis) Tinnin, Indianapolis, Connie Moredock, Owensboro, Marion Fernandez, Louisville, Jill ( Kenneth) Higgs, Owensboro, Mary Jan Lewis, Owensboro, and Omega Kathy Lewis, Owensboro, 59 grandchildren, 105 great- grandchildren, 1 sister Gladys Shauntee of Owensboro, several nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services are at 12noon, Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, Owensboro, KY.

Visitation 10am – 12noon at the church on Saturday. Burial in Elmwood – Rose Hill Cemetery, Owensboro, KY. Rev. Larry Lewis, Eulogist and Rev. Rhondalyn Randolph, Officiating.
