Marcia Hester

arcia Helen Brown Hester, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Signature HealthCARE at Hillcrest. Marcia was born November 29, 1935 in Philadelphia, to the late Joseph Marshall Brown and Helen Marie Troutman Brown. She retired from Sears and Roebuck as a salesclerk for many years. Marcia graduated from Cairn University, formally Philadelphia College of Bible, and did missionary work with the International Bible Club Movement in Lancaster, PA for over 10 years, and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Marie Brown Dragoo; a niece, Debbie Banks; and a nephew, Joe Dragoo, Jr.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Daniel E. Hester; nieces, Susan Dragoo and Heather Dragoo; a nephew, Marshall Earl Dragoo; and two great nephews, Joe Dalton Dragoo Banks and Carson Banks.

The Funeral service for Marcia Hester will be Noon, Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Greg Dowdy officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM till time of service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery.
