Patrick "Pat" Cecil

Patrick "Pat" Joseph Cecil, 61, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at his home. Born April 6, 1957 in Daviess Co. to the late Marion and Maxine Riney Cecil, Pat was retired from Ragu. Pat enjoyed westerns, especially John Wayne movies; never met a stranger; and loved to work on little projects with his grandson, Braiden. He and Braiden also enjoyed trips to Rural King, Lowes, and the library as a way to spend some quality time.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Sherry; a daughter, Amanda Cecil; Papaw's little buddy and partner in crime, grandson Braiden; brothers, Bill (Carol) Cecil, David (Rose Marie) Cecil, all of Owensboro, and Mike (Tracy) Cecil of West Louisville, sisters, Mary (Clyde) Fogle, Janice (John) Taul, and Betty (Tony) Wallace, all of Owensboro, and Alice (Jerry) Biscopink of Loveland, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be noon, Monday, October 1, 2018 at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 -12 Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Pitino Shelter, Boulware Center, or OASIS.
