Richard Jameson Moore

Richard Jameson Moore, 40, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born April 26, 1983 in Daviess County. He was a general manager for Golden Corral and a member of First Baptist Church. Jameson graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Hospitality Management. He was a big UK football and basketball fan and loved sports in general. Jameson loved to help people and was much loved by his staff at Golden Corral. He had such a strong work ethic and was always ready to listen to other's problems and try to help. He considered his friends from Golden Corral to be his "work family". His friends from Owensboro High School remained friends even though they were scattered, they continued to communicate. Jameson was very kind, generous and thoughtful.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Dickie" J. Moore; brother, Chauncey Moore; uncles, Don Moore Sr., John Moore, and Stewart Elliott; aunt, Toni Taylor; and grandparents, J.B. and Lucille Rowan.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Rowan Lanham (Earl); sister, Stacy Crisp (Matt); nieces and nephews, Mary Grace Goatley (Hunter), Sarah Boarman, John Mark Boarman (Anne), and Christopher Boarman; and aunts, Nell Elliott and Carol Moore.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, December 22, 2023 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
