Wilma James

Wilma Keown James, 95, of Owensboro died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Ohio County on October 27, 1923 to the late Floyd Keown and Alpha Brown Keown. Wilma retired from General Electric after 44 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin James on August 25, 1997; brothers, Glenn and Audley Keown; and two sisters, Ruth Farmer and Zelpha Nicks.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Marie James of Nashville, Jerry and Mary James of Cadiz, and Rev. Don and Mitzi James of Louisville; eight grandchildren; 15great-grandchildren; a sister, Lena Butcher; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
