Zelma Boling

elma Parker Boling, 89, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Sept. 20th, 2018 in Niceville, FL. She was born in Hancock County, KY on April 6, 1929. Zelma was the daughter of the late Ollie and Edna Parker. She was a member of Third Baptist Church in Owensboro. Zelma retired from General Electric after 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Claude Boling, Jr.; brother, Archie Parker, as well as three sisters, Ines Morris, Ruth Brown and Anna Bell Johnston.

Survivors include two sons, W. Darrell Lamar and Randall Lee Lamar (Donna); three grandchildren, Alex Lamar (Jennifer), Renee Johnson (John), Randy Martin; one great-granddaughter, Crystal Lamar.

Zelma was a people person. She loved taking care of anyone that needed help. Her heart was huge and she had a smile for everyone. Her love for animals and children brought her great joy, especially her dog, Skipper.

Services will be Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
